In our daily activities, we sometimes experience having itchy skin in a specific part of our body. It usually occurs in children and those adults who have sensitive skins like my daughter. I understand the struggles of having such allergies as if you can’t stop scratching it just to get rid of the itchy feeling. But why do we experience having eczema? When does it happen and what are the causes of it?
Eczema is sometimes referred to as atopic dermatitis, where the word atopic means “allergy.” People born with eczema often have allergies or skin asthma by struggling from itching and red, warm feelings. Believe me or not, this kind of disease comes with different forms. It depends on the symptoms that you unconsciously triggered. Let’s now discover what the types of eczema that we usually experience are.
1. Atopic Dermatitis
This is the most common type of eczema, and I think my husband and sister in law had it when they were kids. It usually occurs during your childhood, and it gets milder until it vanishes as you grow older. Aside from Atopic Dermatitis, the doctors also named it with “Atopic Triad,” where the patient will also experience two other diseases: asthma and hay fever. The rashes of atopic dermatitis can usually be seen in the elbows or knees, and the more you scratch it, the outbreaks will get darker and thicker. A small bump may appear and sometimes will produce leak fluid. It’s quite dangerous because the more you scratch it, the higher the risk of infection.
The common cause of atopic dermatitis are:
- Genes
- Weakened Natural Barrier in our Skins
- Dry Skin
- Problems in the Immune System
2. Dermatitis
If you touch some substances that give your skin reactions as it turns red, you may have contact dermatitis. The contact dermatitis comes in two types:
Allergic contact dermatitis, where your skin gets irritated as you get close to things like latex or metal.
Irritant contact dermatitis starts where it occurs if a specific substance or chemical falls off in your skin, and it gets irritated.
Things that can cause Contact Dermatitis are:
- Detergents
- Jewelry
- Paint
- Nickel
- Solvent
- Bleach
When a contact dermatitis appears in your body, your skin starts getting itchy, and it turns to red. It also gives you a burning feeling and itchy bumps that will suddenly pop up on your skin called hives. The more you scratch it, the skin will get thicker and thicker or leathery.
3. Hand Eczema
Above all those types of eczema, the hand eczema only appears in our hands. You can get it if you are working as a hairdresser or cleaner. The common cause of hand eczema is frequently touching chemicals used for cleaning such as:
- Chlorine
- Clorox
If your hands start getting red and you have this itchy and dry feeling, you can conclude that you have hand eczema. My mother sometimes happen to experience this kind of allergy every time she use chlorine to disinfect our house.
How Belixz Shiruto Can Help To Relieve Eczema?
Belixz Shiruto is clinically proven to boost our immune system. It works as a shield to our body by activating macrophages. Macrophages are specialised cells involved in the detection, phagocytosis and destruction of bacteria and other harmful organisms. In addition, they can also present antigens to T cells and initiate inflammation by releasing molecules (known as cytokines) that activate other cells. The active ingredient in Shiruto, IP-PA1 is able to bind to the macrophages receptor (TLR4) to active it.

Consult a Doctor
Even though we have provided you some information about different eczema and its common causes, it is still better than you need to consult a dermatologist before resorting to medication. For your doctor to thoroughly understand your situation, you have to be honest with your daily activities, including your meals, skin products, and problems. It might be one of the reasons why you are struggling with eczema.
